Hi, I'm Ed!
Through thoughtful, reflective and non-judgemental approach I seek to support and meet clients where they are. I am here to support your goals and help you achieve them. I will do this with the use of therapeutic approaches to help you attain a healthier and happier life.
Based on my client needs I use strengths in a certain modality that will help benefit the client. These include, but are not limited to, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), person centered approach, Bowen family systems, and a Goal Oriented Approach.
For the last 14 years, I have worked in Public Education in a variety of roles, most recently as a School Counsellor. I have also been a varsity athlete and coached basketball at a high level. Within these personal, professional and educational experiences, I have built skills to help others. Like many people working in the public, I have witnessed the need for Mental Health support.
After losing loved ones close to me, grief stricken, I sought mental health support and the benefits were tremendous. It opened my eyes and made me realize how many young people and athletes are struggling with their Mental Health. It was then that I decided to make a shift in my career.
